Sea Ranch Inspired

Inspired by the notable Sea Ranch development on the northern California coast, architect Dan Parker designed this early 1980′s vintage home near downtown Walnut Creek, as part of a community of twenty dwellings with the intention of minimizing grading and saving the extent majestic Oak trees. In Parker’s words: “We fit the houses to the existing contours instead of the usual pad techniques.” In the recent interior renovations great care was taken to respect and sustain the architectural integrity of the design, returning the The home-owner’s Asian art and artifacts are enhanced by the unique “bones” of this spectacular interior.
